JUST ONE MORE FANTASTIC RIDE WOW!

It’s hard to believe that in just a few hours notice, overnight, we had 20 members show-up for a mystery ride. It was an overcast morning, after a rainy evening before, and 20 members equal almost one third of our chapter.

We took mostly back roads and made a quick rest stop in Butte Falls for a potty break and, I think, we made the lady in the small Cafe across the street real nervous. A younger lady ran out and changed the price of the special but I’m not sure if it was more or less. 20 people in that small Cafe would probably be about 6 over maximum capacity.

Anyway we rode on through some beautiful country. All the while the sun started to tease us and by the time we stopped at Howard Prairie Lake for lunch the sun had broke through to blue skies.

Now for the best part, well it was all the best part, but 20 of us all walked into a restaurant, un-announced and you can not believe how fast and efficiently we were served. They even asked us to come back and said that if we call ahead they will have the tables set for us ahead of time. Great people and service with a smile. That’s the third time Judy and I have been there and always had great service and food. What a great combination, you couldn’t ask for more. Our thanks goes to the people at Howard Prairie Restaurant for making it a great lunch outing.

We rode back to I-5 to Gold Hill and back roads again to our final destination, of course, what more would you expect? We had to stop at DQ.

The whole afternoon was one of those days that you want 364 repeats of.

By the way, the yard sale was a success and we had some fun. I’ll let Ken or Marty fill you in on the profit end of everything.

Until then, Ride Safe and we’ll look forward to seeing everyone when someone else thinks up something great for us to do.
